05 Aug SELECT COORDINATOR WANTED!

Would you like to get involved as a volunteer with NTHA? Does your child play on a Select team? The NTHA board is seeking a Select Coordinator to support the Select Chair.

This role is an integral part of the Select Committee and is integral to a successful hockey season for each Select team. As Coordinator, you will act as a liaison between the NTHA Board, the Select governing league NYHL and the participating teams in the operational management of teams within the Select program.

You will also provide administrative support to the Select Committee and support Select team activities, in partnership with coaches and managers, including helping to organize pre-season prep, team preparation and planning, training of staff officials, administration of team approvals for tournaments and exhibition games and other in-season requirements as needed. You will also assist with the communication to the teams on league news and announcements.

You do not need to know anything about hockey – you just need to be organized and willing to learn and give some of your time. Depending upon the season, this position will take 2-5 hours / week.

This is an opportunity to join the volunteer community at NTHA (about 300 strong!) and play an important role in helping to run one of the largest Select programs in the NYHL.
